Christina Sandera, Clint Eastwood's girlfriend, sparked a flurry of questions over the weekend when she accompanied the "American Sniper" director to the Academy Awards.
Though the night should have been about Eastwood — "American Sniper" was up for Best Picture — it was Sandera who stole the spotlight as she graced the red carpet in a navy blue long-sleeved frock, leaving many asking, "Who is she?"
The couple reportedly paired up last June. It marks the 84-year-old director's second relationship since he split from Dina, his wife of 17 years, in
August 2013, according to Us Weekly. Sandera was reportedly working as a hostess at Eastwood's Mission Ranch Hotel in Carmel, California, when they met.
"She lives with him in his house he used to share with Dina," a source told Us Weekly back in June. "She moved in months ago. Clint's kids have all met Christina and like (her). The kids all say she is 'normal.'"
After his marriage ended, Eastwood briefly dated Erica Tomlinson-Fisher, the ex-wife of former University of Hawaii basketball coach Scott Fisher. In a strange twist, the two were reportedly seeing each other at the same time Dina Eastwood was
dating Scott Fisher, according to the San Jose Mercury News.
The Associated Press reported that the Eastwoods finalized their divorce in December when a Monterey County Superior Court judge signed off on the dissolution of marriage. The couple has one daughter together, who recently turned 18.
Eastwood bringing Sandera to the Academy Awards brought out the usual detractors and supporters on social media.
