Judge Reinhold Arrested for Disorderly Conduct at Dallas Airport

Judge Reinhold was arrested at a Dallas airport on a disorderly conduct charge after an encounter with airport security.

Dallas police said the 59-year-old actor was arrested Thursday after Transportation Security Administration employees reported that he wouldn’t submit to a screening while at a checkpoint at Dallas Love Field, The Associated Press noted.

Reinhold’s attorney, Steve Stodghill, told The Dallas Morning News that though the actor passed through a scanner successfully, his bag set off an alarm.

Reinhold was taken aside for a pat-down, but when he resisted security, he was taken to the Dallas County jail for booking.

According to officials, during the confrontation, Reinhold became belligerent, removing his shirt and using explicit language, the Telegraph reported.

As the Hollywood star was being escorted to county jail, Reinhold addressed the media, saying, “Thanks for the exposure guys. Glad you’re here.”

Dallas police issued a statement, saying authorities were “alerted by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) regarding an individual causing a disturbance by refusing to submit to a screening at the appropriate checkpoint area,” the Telegraph noted.

“The officers responded and subsequently took the individual into custody after he refused to comply,” the statement said.

Reinhold was released from jail early Friday morning. He told a photographer he was “embarrassed” about the incident.

A disorderly conduct offense is a Class C misdemeanor and comes with a fine of $500.

Reinhold is mostly known for his appearances in “Fast Times At Ridgemont High” and the “Beverly Hills Cop” movies, The Huffington Post noted.
