Reports ran rampant online this week that Eminem and his ex-wife Kim Mathers were reconciling, but a rep for the rapper denied the rumors, saying the former couple is "just friends."
An article published earlier this week on
RadarOnline.com quoted Mathers' mother, Kathy Sluck, as saying the pair "might [get back together soon], they get on better than ever."
But Eminem's publicist quickly shot down the story.

"Marshall and Kim continue to maintain a great friendship and share in the parenting of their family,"
Eminem's rep, Dennis Dennehy, told E! News in a statement.
Eminem (whose real name is Marshall Mathers), 41, and Kim Mathers, 38, met as teenagers and married for the first time in 1999. They divorced in 2001, remarried in 2006, and split up again later that same year. They have one child together — Hailie, 17 — and are also raising Mathers' niece, Alaina, together and her daughter, Whitney, from a previous relationship.
Their contentious relationship has been highlighted in many of Eminem's songs, most notably the controversial 2000 track "Kim," in which he enacts murdering her. Kim Mathers later sued him for defamation.
But they appear to have buried the hatchet, at least as far as parenting goes. They were both spotted at daughter Hailie's Michigan high school last month,
where she was crowned homecoming queen.
"They really have a great relationship now as parents," a source told Us Weekly. "Despite everything Em has been through with addictions, he's always, always been an amazing father, and always had a place in his heart for Kim because of their history and the kids."
