Ramona Jones, the "Hee Haw" star known for her fiddling skills, died Tuesday in Tennessee. She was 91.

Jones, born Ramona Riggins, was well-known as a country entertainer, and she performed often with her husband of 52 years, Louis Marshall "Grandpa" Jones, Rolling Stone reported. He died in 1998, and she later married Rev. W. Eugene Gober, who survives.

Jones first appeared on the Grand Ole Opry stage in 1947 and, from there, she performed around the world with her Country Hall of Famer husband, including at many shows for service members overseas. The pair performed on the television program "Hee Haw" for 25 years, according to RS.

"Perhaps their biggest bit was their Bells routine where Grandpa and Ramona would strap cowbells to their feet and hands and use them to play familiar melodies," Bluegrass Today said of the couple's years on the popular TV show. "In this, and many other skits, Grandpa would joke and play the fool while Ramona maintained a dignified presence on stage."

"We're so sad to hear that our dear friend, Ramona Jones, has passed away. She was one of the finest 'old-time fiddlers' in the world, and also a tremendous singer and entertainer," Tennessee's Museum of Appalachia posted on its Facebook page
