On his Friday afternoon radio show,
Rush Limbaugh said that the new 8.6 percent unemployment figure released today is “corrupt,” and that the number was massaged in order to help the Obama administration in the upcoming 2012 presidential election.

Limbaugh said that although the government reported that there were 120,000 new jobs created in November, the 8.6 percent figure ignores the fact that 315,000 people left the workforce entirely. Given that almost three times the number of people left the workforce than actually got jobs, it is impossible, said Limbaugh, for unemployment to have dropped by almost a half a percentage point.
“It’s a serious form of corruption,” said Limbaugh, “but we knew this was coming. The regime got the headline it wanted – it got 8.6 – all the other details are irrelevant.”
