Newt Gingrich Uses April Fools' Day to Laugh at US Foreign Policy

By    |   Wednesday, 01 April 2015 10:21 AM EDT

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich used April Fools' Day as an opportunity to make a joke about President Barack Obama's foreign policy.

"After a lot of thought i have changed my mind. President Obama has a strong, solid, thoughtful foreign policy we should all support," Gingrich wrote on Twitter on Tuesday night.

The former House speaker let his followers in on the joke with a follow-up tweet a minute later.

"The previous tweet about President Obama's foreign policy is a sign it is April Fool's day," he added.
