Lawmakers in Virginia, Arizona, Wyoming, Montana, Tennessee and other states have approved new pro-gun measures or are considering them, the Times reported Tuesday.
“We expected a very different picture at this stage,” Paul Helmke, president of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, told the Times.
Critics are upset that Obama has failed to fulfill a number of campaign promises related to gun-control efforts.
