Pope Leo XIV: First American Pontiff on Conclave's 2nd Day

Robert Francis Prevost, who was elected the 267th pope of the Roman Catholic Church Thursday and took the name Pope Leo XIV, is the first pope from the United States. He quickly appeared in full papal regalia, to the cheers and tears of thousands upon thousands of followers who'd assembled near St. Peter's Basilica. [Full Story]
