Consider using one or more of these six smartphone golf apps to improve your game:

1. Golf GPS Rangefinder & Scoring — Golf enthusiasts might love this app for the images it has of nearly every golf course in the world, according to WebAppRater. Users have access to website data to track their games. There is also a digital scorecard included.

2. V1 Golf — The app helps improve your golf swing for better accuracy at hitting the ball to the right spot. The video helps fine-tune a golfer’s basic skills by recording a player’s swing and comparing it with more than 50 templates from pro golfers.

3. Tiger Woods: My Swing — What better way to improve a swing than taking lessons from one of the masters of the game! In this app, players also record videos of their own swing and compare it to Tiger’s style in the quest to improve their game, power and accuracy.

4. GAME Golf — The system includes chips that clip to a player’s golf clubs and one to your belt. By touching the chip on the belt before each swing, the app records your positions to analyze distances, movements, and inclinations. It’s like having a PGA Tour system following and tracking you, notes Golf Academy of America. The app is free, but clip devices cost about $199.

5. My Pro to Go — Here’s something that lets a pro give you advice on your swing. GolfTec-certified instructors at My Pro to Go look at videos you take of your swing. Players get personalized instruction. This app is also free, but the valuable lesson plans start at $39.

6. Golf Channel Mobile — The official application of the Golf Channel was named one of the 10 best golf apps for Android by Android Authority. Along with tips from experts and advice for fantasy golf, the free app includes golf news, analysis, and profiles of players.
