Dana Loesch, the female face of the National Rifle Association, abruptly moved her family over the weekend after gun-control advocates threatened to kill or rape her, she said over Twitter.
Loesch, a regular guest on Fox News, CNN and other networks, condemned the gun-control movement for their attacks on firearms owners and conservative women in general.
Loesch posted photos of trash bags outside her home that were filled with household items that she left behind from her move. A strong proponent of women arming themselves for self defense, she also posted a Tweet on #MeToo, the site established by women to share their stories of sexual abuse after the Harvey Weinstein scandal.
At least one prominent gun-control advocate defended Loesch. Chelsea Clinton tweeted that she strongly condemned those attacking her.
