An Idaho company selling pork-laced ammunition is marketing the unique bullets, called Jihawg Ammo, as a deterrent against radical Islamic terrorists.
Brendon and Julie Hill launched the company in an effort, they
told ABC News, to make radical Islamists think twice before they attack anyone. Pork is infused into the paint on the bullets.

“With Jihawg Ammo, you don’t just kill an Islamist terrorist, you also send him to hell,” a company press release said. “That should give would-be martyrs something to think about before they launch an attack. If it ever becomes necessary to defend yourself and those around you our ammo works on two levels.”
The Hills said they’re not advocating violence against anyone, but hope that the bullets would serve as a deterrent. They sell shirts that say, “Peace Through Pork.”
Brendon Hill told ABC News that the company was developed as a tongue-in-cheek way to stand up to Islamic terrorists.
“We realize we've hit an emotional thread, and I'd loosely define this as a red-state/blue-state issue,” Hill told the news organization. “That's where our customers are coming from and in that demographic, our product is a way to push back against political correctness. It's the proverbial middle finger back to political correctness.”
The company’s Facebook Page, Jihawg Ammunition-South Fork Industries Inc., has shot up to more than 7,000 likes and started a lot of discussion about the political implications of pork-laced ammo.
Some religious experts doubt the Muslim prohibition against pork would really be broken by being shot with a bullet.
CBS News in Seattle talked with Shannon Dunn, an assistant professor of religious studies at Gonzaga University.
“There is no penalty for coming into contact with pork given by the Quran,” Dunn said.
The New York Post reported that a leading Muslim civil liberties organization called the product a stunt by “publicity-seeking idiots.”
“These are the same type of people who buy into anti-Muslim conspiracy theories, the same people who think that Sharia law is going to take over America,” said Ibrahim Hooper of the Council on American-Islamic Relations.
