The American Action Network, a group allied with House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., announced Thursday that it would make 1 million robocalls in support of the Republican tax reform plan, according to The Hill.
The group will focus on 45 congressional districts in states including California, Illinois, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Virginia, and Texas, The Hill reported.
"The White House and congressional leaders have a bold plan that puts Americans first by cutting taxes for middle-class families and small businesses. Today, we are calling one million people across the country to make their voices heard and urge their representative to deliver a tax code that is simple, fair, and cuts taxes," said Corry Bliss, the AAN executive director, in a statement, according to The Hill.
The calls will urge citizens to encourage their representatives to "keep fighting" for tax reform, The Hill reported.
"These are exactly the changes that are needed to bring back jobs from overseas and keep the economy growing," the call says, referring to the plan President Donald Trump announced Wednesday.
Trump on Wednesday said that the Republican reform plan will "deliver historic tax relief to the American people."
