President Donald Trump on Monday retweeted a post by conservative pundit Dinesh D'Souza that surfaced a mainstream media story proving the president was right about left-wing violence.

Trump's aim to expose Antifa's role in the wake of the violence at Charlottesville caused a backlash that still persists. Trump said there was blame for the "many sides" at Charlottesville, a fact that was surfaced by the Post story about similar violence over the weekend at Berkeley.

The Post story reported that 100 anarchists and Antifa moved in to what had been a peaceful really that shortly after resulted in violence, during which five rally-goers were attacked and 13 eventually arrested.
