Trump Slams Dems for Higher Obamacare Premiums

President Donald Trump blamed Democrats on Tuesday for any future increases in Obamacare premiums because they passed legislation that "that never had a chance of working."

Trump took to Twitter:

The tweet came as two senators announced a bipartisan framework that would resume federal payments to health insurers that Trump blocked last week.

Republican Sen. Lamar Alexander of Tennessee and Democratic Sen. Patty Murray of Washington said that the plan has unresolved issues, but they remained optimistic that a compromise can be reached.

In a separate post, President Trump continued his attack on the news media, singling out many top network and cable television operations as "fiction writers."
