President Donald Trump slammed "Crooked Hillary" Clinton early Wednesday for criticizing his speech to the United Nations as "very dark, dangerous"— and blamed her and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, with helping North Korea develop its dangerous nuclear arsenal.
"After allowing North Korea to research and build Nukes while Secretary of State (Bill C also), Crooked Hillary now criticizes," he wrote on Twitter.
Clinton's criticism came in her appearance Tuesday night with Stephen Colbert on CBS' "The Late Show."
She told Colbert Trump's speech was "not the kind of message that the leader of the greatest nation in the world should be delivering."
"When you face dangerous situations, like what is happening in North Korea, to make it clear that your first approach should always be diplomatic," Clinton said.
Clinton has been making the talk-show circuits to plug her new book "What Happened," which details her point of view of why she lost the election.
The president has shared his own views of what happened.
