Liberal activist and documentary filmmaker Michael Moore attended Wednesday night's House impeachment vote against President Donald Trump.
Moore tweeted:
"I GOT IN! I AM SEATED IN THE HOUSE GALLERY FRONT ROW WITNESSING HISTORY. CONGRESS IS ABOUT TO IMPEACH A LAWLESS, CRIMINAL PRESIDENT. I had to give my phone up, but will be back tonight and on the podcast to share what I witnessed."
His appearance was confirmed by The Hill.
Moore, 65, who called for Trump's impeachment long before the basis of Democrats' claim of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, has made a long line of films attacking Republican policies and presidents, including:
- "Fahrenheit 11/9"
- "Michael Moore in TrumpLand"
- "Fahrenheit 9/11"
- "Sicko"
- "Bowling for Columbine"
He also performed a one-man anti-Trump play, "The Terms of My Surrender," on Broadway in 2017, per the report.
Moore did predict Trump's 2016 election, citing his large crowds, and has said Trump will win again in 2020 – except if and only if Michelle Obama were to enter the race.
