President Donald Trump reportedly told rich donors in North Carolina he’d push forward on healthcare reform — but warned obstacles would continue to be in the way.

According to Politico, which cited two unnamed sources who attended the Saturday event at the Greensboro home of GOP donor Louis DeJoy, Trump recounted efforts so far to repeal and replace Obamacare, conceding no matter what the approach, getting to the 50-vote threshold was difficult.

He also didn’t rule out working with Democrats to get something done, the outlet reported.

The president, however, didn’t criticize, as he has in the past, lawmakers who’d resisted the attempts, including Arizona Sen. John McCain and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul — nor did he attack attack Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Politico reported.

The North Carolina event raised around $2 million for the Republican National Committee and Trump’s reelection, and drew prominent GOP figures including former North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory, Politico reported.
