The White House fired back Thursday at Sen. Bob Corker for saying President Donald Trump has not demonstrated the "stability" and "competence" to be successful — calling the remarks "ridiculous and outrageous."

"I think that's a ridiculous and outrageous claim and doesn't dignify a response from this podium," she said.
Corker, speaking to local reporters just days after deadly violence erupted at a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, lamented Trump "has not yet been able to demonstrate the stability, nor some of the competence, that he needs to demonstrate in order for him to be successful" — and he was not sure Trump "understands the character of this nation."
