1. The Christmas Tree

1. The Christmas Tree

Those who celebrate the holiday usually set up a Christmas tree. This tree was first introduced by St. Boniface as a religious symbol. He used the triangular shape of the tree to represent the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. In the twelfth century, people began to hang these trees upside down as a symbol of Christianity. The first decorated Christmas tree was in Latvia in 1510 and the tradition continues today.
