Jane Fonda, 79, wore bangs and a ponytail, and was choked around her neck by diamonds and emeralds which she decided to wear backwards at Sunday's Emmy Awards, InStyle magazine revealed.
The two-time Oscar winner, who is starring with Robert Redford in the upcoming Netflix movie "Our Souls at Night," wore a fuchsia custom Brandon Maxwell gown, allowing her to "effectively out-dress nearly everyone else," InStyle said.
InStyle said Fonda wore a three-piece emerald and diamond set by Gismondi 1754 that was worth $2.5 million. The backwards necklace alone had 70-plus carats of diamonds and 82 carats of emeralds, which were draped down the actress's back.
Fonda would join Lily Tomlin and Dolly Parton on stage, her co-stars in the 1980s feminist movie "9 to 5" to present the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie, which went to Alexander Skarsgård, the Huffington Post said.
Fonda and Tomlin have starred together on the Netflix comedy-drama "Grace and Frankie," for three seasons, Variety noted, and in April the series was renewed for a fourth season.
