Lindsay Lohan has finally shown there is a Harvey Weinstein defender after saying she felt "very bad" for the Hollywood mogul facing several allegations of sexual harassment and assault.
Speaking in a strange European accent, the 31-year-old actress said in an Instagram story that has since been deleted from her account that she thought it was wrong how people were attacking Weinstein, Variety noted.
"I don't think it's right what's going on," Lohan said, per Variety. "He's never harmed me or did anything to me – we've done several movies together. I think everyone needs to stop."
Lohan did not leave it at that.
Turning her attention to Georgina Chapman, Weinstein's wife who intends on filing for divorce, Lohan said she needs to "take a stand and be there for her husband."
There have been at least eight settlements against Weinstein so far and various allegations of sexual assault.
Most recently, Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie have joined a growing list of woman accusing Weinstein of sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior.
The two prominent actresses made their claims in an article published in The New York Times on Tuesday.
The New Yorker noted that, during the course of a 10-month investigation, 13 women interviewed claimed Weinstein had sexually harassed or assaulted them over the past several years.
Among them were three women who claimed they had been raped by Weinstein and four others said they had experienced unwanted touching from him.
