"They spoke at 2 p.m. (Thursday),"
Bush spokesman Jim McGrath confirmed to Business Insider. "President Putin also sent a portrait. ... It is a portrait of President Bush as a young Navy ensign in his dress whites."

A Kremlin news release said Putin "warmly congratulated" the 41st President on his milestone birthday and wished him "health and prosperity, noting his personal contribution to the development of the Russian-American relations."
Bush also celebrated by skydiving over Maine this week, keeping a promise to make the jump one more time. With the help of Army Sgt. 1st Class Mike Elliott, a retired Golden Knights paratrooper, Bush landed safely near the family's summer home in Kennebunkport, Maine.
