Best-selling author Kenneth R. Timmerman has been tracking Iranian government terrorism and Iranian weapons of mass destruction (WMD) programs for the past twenty years. His latest book, Countdown to Crisis: the Coming Nuclear Showdown with Iran, was released by Crown Forum on June 14, 2005.

In January 2006, he was nominated by former Swedish deputy Prime Minister Per Ahlmark for the Nobel Peace Prize 2006 for his work in exposing Iran’s nuclear weapons program. In presenting his ground-breaking study on Iranian, Syrian, and Libya WMD programs in 1992, famed Nazi-hunter Simon Wiesenthal told an audience in Paris, “I have been tracking the murderers of yesterday. Mr. Timmerman is tracking the murderers of tomorrow.”
Timmerman has provided expert testimony on Iran in numerous court cases, both as a government witness and as a plaintiff’s expert.
A regular TV guest, he is an on-air contributor to CNBC’s “On the Money,” and has appeared on the O’Reilly Factor, CBS 60 Minutes, Nightline, Hannity & Colmes, and CNN Late Edition, and on virtually every major talk radio show in the nation.
In 1993, Timmerman authored a key Congressional report on Iranian WMD procurement. Since leaving the Hill, he has testified before Congress on many occasions on developments in Iran, published a monthly newsletter on Iran, as well as scholarly articles. In 1998, he testified on Iranian missile developments to the Commission To Assess the Ballistic Missile Threat to the United States (the "Rumsfeld Commission").
He first reported on the Iranian government’s ties to al Qaeda in a ground-breaking investigation for Insight Magazine that appeared in November 2001, and has continued to break new ground on this story with access to U.S. intelligence sources and Iranian defectors.
Timmerman’s is the author of two NY Times best-sellers: The French Betrayal of America (2004) and Shakedown: Exposing the Real Jesse Jackson (2002).
