Actor James Woods tweeted he was OK after an apparent medical scare on Sunday at the
World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.
About 8:55 p.m. Eastern Time, Woods tweeted that he was resting comfortably in an emergency room.
Two minutes later, Woods tweeted:
Albasi is a professional poker player who is close friends with Woods, who also plays poker.
PokerNews.com reported that a witness saw Woods, 67, being attended by Emergency Medical Technicians. According to the witness, the EMTs were giving Woods oxygen as he pointed to his chest.
The EMTs later took Woods from the building, PokerNews.com reported. PokerNews' report was posted about 7 p.m. Eastern.
Woods gave no specifics of whether the incident was indeed heart-related. He tweeted:
Woods is a
harsh critic of President Obama and has criticized the president and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Twitter in the past. He said he didn't expect to work in liberal Hollywood again after he blamed Obama for keeping World War II veterans out of their memorial during the government shutdown in October 2013.
Woods also
criticized Obama on Twitter in July 2013 over his remarks on Trayvon Martin after the George Zimmerman not-guilty verdict.
Woods called Clinton a "foul queen" on Twitter in August 2013 over the Benghazi scandal.
