While many Christian universities oppose the LGBTQ lifestyle and same-sex marriage, several major colleges have allowed students to create discussion on the topic.
Institutions such as Biola University have remained resistant to the move to allow official gay organizations on campus, which encouraged some students to start their own unofficial club known as the Biola Queer Underground,
The Biola University Chimes reported.
At least eight institutions in the United States that are affiliated with the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities, however, have permitted students to run a club specified for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer communities as well as their allies.
