Missouri ranks number 11 in a 2014 list of the
best states for gun owners compiled by Guns and Ammo. The state's constitution "protects the rights of its citizens 'to bear arms in defense of home, person and property' and has strong self-defense laws."
Missouri received a high score of 44 out of 50 based on right to carry laws, restrictions on sporting rifles, National Firearms Act rights, Castle Doctrine and a miscellaneous category.

Sharpshooters St. Louis: This 5-star gun range and firearm retail facility features 20 extra wide shooting lanes and an all steel total containment bullet trap which allows guests to shoot long guns up to 50 BMG. Extensive training classes are available and the site boasts a 50-seat pit and grill barbecue restaurant.
"Awesome gun store, range and BBQ place!! Great bunch working there!!" writes a reviewer on Facebook.

Gateway Gun Club: Located in Bridgeton, this facility is billed as the premier shooting range in Saint Louis. The facility provides lighting for night shooting, 11 trap fields, 9 skeet fields, bunker trap shooting, and an indoor pistol and rifle range. Concealed carry instruction, firearm storage and a pro shop are available onsite.
"Fantastic facility, clean and well operated. Staff were very nice on our first visit there. Pleased to see the range was very orderly, no tolerance for stupid crap, shady ammo, or just loose gun handling in general," writes a reviewer on Yelp.

Andy Dalton Shooting Range: Located in Ash Grove, the gun range provides a 100-yard rifle pistol range with 20 covered shooting lanes as well as trap and skeet fields. In addition, there are 3-D and static archery ranges featuring deer, turkey, bear, coyote, elk, groundhog and raccoons, as well as a pellet gun range, indoor classrooms and an outdoor pavilion.
"First rate and first class!! A great place to shoot!! I have been there alone, with my wife, with my sons and their girlfriends and with friends. Every one has had a great time," writes a reviewer on Google.
