SPECIAL: Prayer Changes Your Brain in 4 Amazing Ways
1. Caine's maiden name is Caryofyllis.
"'Excuse me, are you Christine Caryofyllis?' I was sitting in the hair salon and was very surprised to hear my maiden name,"
Caine said on her website. "When I spun around in my chair, I was delighted to see Mrs. Jones, one of my high school teachers from 25 years ago!"
2. Before joining the Hillsong Church, Caine was raised in Australia in the Greek Orthodox Church.
She was as taught as a child to listen to the priests of the Greek Orthodox Church rather than to read the Bible,
Caine wrote, in Christianity Today.
3. Caine bore her first child at 35 and her second child at 40.
Caine didn't marry her husband, Nick, until she was 30 years old. She bore her first child, "the Alpha," at age 35 and her second daughter, "the Omega," at age 40, the evangelist said, speaking at a conference sponsored by The Rock, a church in Point Loma, California. The children's names are Catherine Bobbie and Sophia Joyce Grace.

Caryofyllis, a Bible study teacher at the time, met her then husband-to-be in a Bible class, where he was a student. To show his interest in her, he started appearing every morning at the swimming pool where she did laps,
the evangelist said during a sermon televised on LifeChurch.tv.
5. The Caines have launched three organizations.
These include The A21 Campaign, targeted at ending human trafficking, and the Equip and Empower Ministries, designed to advise and grow Christian church leaders,
according to the Rock. The third organization,
Propel, is described on its website as developing leadership potential among Christian women.
6. Nick Caine's in-car navigation system is a pet peeve to his wife.
Nick Caine "seems to think I do not have any ability to read a map book and give instructions," she declared during her sermon on LifeChurch.tv. The pastor has given the nickname "Matilda" to her navigational rival.
