Melissa Gilbert Files for Divorce From Bruce Boxleitner

Melissa Gilbert has filed for divorce from husband of 16 years Bruce Boxleitner, reports the LA Times. 

The petition was filed Monday in L.A., following five months of being separated. Gilbert sited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason of their split, asking for spousal support and joint custody of their 15-year-old son Michael.
 

Boxleitner has two sons from a previous marriage, Gilbert has one.

Gilbert, 47, seeks to be absolved from paying spousal support to 61-year-old Boxleitner.
