Restaurant Week Kicks Off

Tuesday, 12 July 2011 12:24 PM EDT

New York City’s Restaurant Week has started again this year with over 320 restaurants offering prix-fix lunch and dinner specials, reports NYC Go.

Restaurants will offer 3-course lunches and dinners priced at $24.07 and $35, respectively.

Restaurant week began in 1992 to welcome the National Democratic Convention to the city and was thought to be a onetime event.

Many of the original participants, including Le Cirque, Tribeca Grill, and Barbetta, will still be a part of the event this year.

The event will run through Sunday, July 24.
