The Pentagon’s security has been breached by everyone ranging from lost tourists to foreign nationals, RadarOnline reported.
Several of the trespassers included Chinese nationals. Overall, security at the Pentagon, located in Arlington County, Virginia, was breached 15 times between 2017 and 2021, according to RadarOnline.
In July 2017, two Chinese nationals were spotted approaching a restricted heliport at the sprawling complex. They said they got lost sightseeing, RadarOnline reported. The Pentagon is the second largest office building in the world with 26,000 employees.
Two months later, three Turkish nationals were caught in a restricted area while claiming to be looking for a McDonald's that had come up on their GPS, RadarOnline said. They were charged with trespassing.
One woman claimed she was trying to get to her job at a restaurant in Pentagon City when her Uber Driver got lost and wound up in a restricted area, RadarOnline reported. Another woman was able to drive onto Pentagon grounds at a vehicle checkpoint by following the car in front of her as the gate arm descended, RadarOnline said.
Previously, hackers posted the files of Leidos Holding, which provides tech support for the Department of Defense, according to RadarOnline.
