At a campaign rally in in Milford, N.H. on Tuesday, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump not only blasted Texas Sen. Ted Cruz for being dishonest, but the billionaire also claims that if Cruz wins the nomination, the Democrats are going to "sue his ass off."
In addition to generating false headlines noting Trump's "support" for Obamacare, the real estate mogul added that Cruz had continuously pulled "dirty tricks" leading up to Monday nights Iowa caucuses.
"He said [rival candidate Ben] Carson left Iowa – he's out of the race, vote for him instead and Ben is all of a sudden getting calls that he quit the race," Trump said.
Along with telling his supporters that
Carson "quit" the race, the Texas senator also sent out "voter violation" mailers, which Trump said were made to look like an official document that "came right out of government."
"What kind of people do we have running for office? It's really dishonest," Trump said. "These politicians are worse than real estate people in New York."
Trump has repeatedly raised the subject of Cruz's Canadian birthplace, suggesting that the Texas senator, who was born in Calgary, Alberta, to an American mother, may not be constitutionally eligible to serve as president of the United States,
CNN reports.
"You watch, the Democrats have already said they're going to sue him.... If he gets the nomination, they're going to sue his ass off – actually, they're going to sue the country, but they're going to sue him and that's a big problem."
