Scarborough: Obama's 'Staggering' Comments on ISIS 'Radically Out of Step'

MSNBC "Morning Joe" host Joe Scarborough Monday morning railed against President Barack Obama's "staggering" weekend contention that the Paris killers are "a bunch of killers with good social media," saying that his words show how out of touch the nation's leader is with the seriousness of the situation.

"I don't know where to begin," Scarborough said. "Democrats don't know where to begin. Foreign policy experts don't know where to begin. [Secretary of State] John Kerry said the same thing. It's much to do about nothing."In his remarks Sunday, the president said the primary power terrorists have over the United States is fear, and ISIS "cannot strike a mortal blow against the United States."

"The most powerful tool we have to fight ISIS is to say we're not afraid," Obama said. "They're a bunch of killers...when I see a headline that says this individual who designed this plot in Paris is a mastermind, he's not a mastermind, he found a few vicious people, got hands on some fairly conventional methods and if you're willing to die you can kill a lot of people. They're a bunch of killers with good social media."

Scarborough said that there is not an intelligence agency on the planet that "doesn't fear, I will use the word fear, fear ISIS."

"That is staggering to our allies. It is staggering to [Sen.] Diane Feinstein, liberal Democrats. It's staggering to the world the president is in a bubble by himself saying these are bad guys with guns and social media."

And Obama's words put him "radically out of step with where the American people are, our allies are, where foreign policy experts are, when you go from saying they're a JV team, they're contained, they can't attack the United States, they're just a bunch of killers with guns and social media," Scarborough said.
