Former tea party caucus firebrand Michele Bachmann said she has been advising Donald Trump on foreign policy, MPR News reported.
The ex-Minnesota congresswoman — who became a frequent critic of President Barack Obama — revealed the role at a fundraiser for the GOP presidential nominee Saturday, according to the report.
"He also recognizes there is a threat around the world, not just here in Minnesota, of radical Islam," she said, per MPR News. "I wish our President Obama also understood the threat of radical Islam and took it seriously."
Bachmann said she also has the ear of the GOP nominee on issues of concern to Christian conservatives, and is part of Trump Evangelical Advisory Executive Board.
Bachmann has yet to officially endorse Trump, The Hill reports.
