Donald Trump has drawn plenty of criticism for not disclosing his tax returns, but while on Fox News Tuesday night, according to the Washington Examiner, he pledged to make them public as soon as Hillary Clinton releases thousands of emails from her private server that were most likely deleted.

First, the Republican presidential candidate insisted that he can't release his returns until the Internal Revenue Service finishes an audit.

"When the audit is complete I will release my returns. I don't know when that's going to be," Trump said, The Huffington Post reports. "But when the audit is complete, I'll release my returns. I have no problem with it. It doesn't matter."

According to NBC News, individuals being audited aren't barred from sharing tax information. Former President Richard Nixon released his tax returns while he was under audit in 1973.

"She has 33,000 emails that she deleted. When is she going to release her emails? Let her release her emails and I will release my tax returns immediately," Trump said to host Bill O'Reilly. "With that said I released almost 100 pages of financials to the FEC and they are detailed. Fact is, you get very little information from the tax return, Bill."

O'Reilly also asked if Trump has felt pressure from his running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, to release his returns.

"Not at all," Trump said from a rally in Greenville, N.C. "Nobody cares about it except some of the folks in the media . . . So you understand I am under audit. Routine audit. When the audit is complete, I will release my returns. I have no problem with it."

Earlier, at the same rally, Fox News reports Trump said the newly released FBI documents on Clinton's email proves that she "fails to meet the minimum standard for running for public office."
