Operatives tied to Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign are flocking to Washington, D.C., in an attempt to calm the growing storm surrounding her email scandal, according to one report.
"Meet the Press" moderator Chuck Todd spoke about the issue on MSNBC Friday morning.
"They're trying to make this into a partisan attack. They're trying to reassure Democrats behind the scenes," Todd told José Díaz-Balart. "A whole bunch of Clinton operatives have flown down from Brooklyn to D.C. to try to do some hand-holding here, to try to calm things down. Saying, 'this is nothing but politics, they'll get through this.'
"But I'll I tell you, last week, you had Democrats privately complaining. This week, they're going public."

Todd went on to name several Democratic lawmakers who have expressed concern over Clinton running for president because of the ongoing scandal, which now has the
FBI combing through Clinton's email server as it tries to determine if she sent classified material over the non-government email setup.
Florida Sen. Bill Nelson and Kentucky Rep. John Yarmuth both said this week
Clinton appears to be in trouble.
"I don't think the campaign has handled it very well," Nelson said. "I think the advice to her of making a joke out of it — I think that was not good advice.
"If she is receiving something on a private email account and it has no designation, then how would she know that it is classified?"
Said Yarmuth: "I still think there is a chance that this could upend her campaign.
"I just never feel like I have a grasp of what the facts are. Clearly she has handled it poorly from the first day. And there's the appearance of dishonesty, if it's not dishonest."
Clinton's poll numbers have taken a hit, with
some experts pointing to the email scandal as the reason.
Court documents released this week showed
Clinton also used a personal BlackBerry while she was secretary of state (2009-13), while two of her top aides' devices were destroyed after they left the department.
