The Republican leader in the Senate says most candidates for president have released their tax documents as presumptive GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump insists he'll wait until after an IRS audit.
Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky was asked by reporters if Trump should release his returns. Presidential candidates typically have done so since the 1970s.
McConnell said Tuesday that Trump will have to make the decision for himself, but the common practice has been to release returns.
Trump has faced criticism for saying he will hold off until an audit, with 2012 Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney saying it was "disqualifying."
