Adam Turner - Biography


Adam Turner currently serves as General Counsel & Legislative Affairs Director for the Endowment for Middle East Truth (EMET). He has worked for EMET since 2011. He is a former staff counsel for the Middle East Forum’s Legal Project, where he worked on the issue of protecting free speech from legal threat. He is also a former counsel to the Senate Judiciary Committee, where he focused on national security, government oversight, and criminal law. As committee counsel, Mr. Turner helped pass legislation making it easier for victims to sue and collect damages from state sponsors of terrorism. During that time, he also worked on the nomination hearings for U.S. Supreme Court Justices John Roberts and Samuel Alito, and the U.S. Attorney General nominations for Michael Mukasey and Eric Holder. Prior to his work on the Committee, Mr. Turner served as an aide for U.S. Senators Arlen Specter and Rick Santorum, both of Pennsylvania. Mr. Turner holds a law degree from George Mason University, a Master’s Degree in Political Science from American University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the Pennsylvania State University.
