A bug-sized drone developed by the British military has the ability to eavesdrop on conversations by perching itself on walls and window sills.
The project, according to Sky News, has researchers working on the Dragonfly drone. It has wings that flap and even four legs, and it easily fits into the palm of one's hand.
The drone has the ability to avoid obstacles while flying at high speeds because of its detection capabilities.
Another British military project in development involves a device that can stop drones from flying by either burning holes in them or overloading their on-board sensors that detect light.
Other British defense projects being worked on, according to Sky, include a robot that can find chemical weapons and helmets that will feature virtual reality software, meaning pilots can train for missions without leaving the ground.
"This new approach will help to keep Britain safe while supporting our economy with our brightest brains keeping us ahead of our adversaries," Defense Secretary Michael Fallon told Sky.
"Backed by a defense budget that will rise every year until the end of the decade, it will ensure that the UK maintains its military advantage in an increasingly dangerous world."
A story last year, meanwhile, reveled the U.S. military was also testing drones the size of bugs. Each one weighs about 18 grams.
In May, the U.S. military unveiled an unmanned Naval ship that is designed to sail on its own.
