Adults in America support globalization by nearly a 2-1 margin, according to the latest Morning Consult poll.
Nearly half of the adults surveyed in the poll for the Bloomberg Global Business Forum either "strongly" (15 percent) or "somewhat" (32 percent) support globalization, which is almost double the combination of those who "somewhat oppose" (14 percent) and "strongly oppose" (11 percent).
Other notable poll findings:
- 36 percent believe globalization will create jobs.
- 51 percent of respondents say immigration poses a threat to the economy.
- 72 percent of respondents say they feel less safe now, compared to just 16 percent who say they feel more safe.
This poll was conducted from Sept. 12-14, 2017, among 2094 adults with a margin of error of plus or minus 2 percentage points.
