GOP front-runner Donald Trump will appear on Fox News Channel's "The O'Reilly Factor" on Tuesday night – five days after announcing he would not be on the network for the foreseeable future, The New York Times reports.

Trump and Fox News have been in an on-again-off-again spat since the August 6 GOP presidential debate hosted by Fox News. Trump complained he got tougher questions than the other candidates and said Fox News host Megyn Kelly, who was one of the moderators, targeted him over how he has treated women.

His quote the next day to CNN that Kelly was angry and had "blood coming out of her eyes, out of her wherever" was interpreted by many as a reference to hormones, but Trump insisted he meant her ears.

Trump and Fox made up – until he insulted Kelly again, which brought a demand from Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes to apologize. He didn't.

Trump was interviewed last Monday on "On the Record with Greta Van Susteren," but the next two shows, O'Reilly's and Kelly's, featured guests critical of Trump. He complained on Twitter about what he saw as unfairness, and was scolded for doing so by Van Susteren.

The next day he declared he was boycotting Fox News for the "foreseeable future." He had been scheduled to be on O'Reilly's show that Thursday, but Fox News responded it had canceled that appearance before Trump ever announced his boycott.

Eventually, Ailes and a group of Fox News officials agreed to meet with Trump to discuss any misunderstandings. That meeting hasn't happened yet, Mediaite notes, though Trump is now slated to appear on Fox News.

Trump's Twitter account had made no announcement about the appearance as of Monday night.
