A tunnel similar to the one Mexican drug kingpin Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman used to escape from a Mexican prison was recently discovered at the United States' border with Mexico.
Mexican authorities found the unfinished tunnel June 30 and it stretches more than 400 feet, 19 feet below ground. It is between the U.S.-Mexico border near the Mexican city of Tijuana, which is just south of San Diego, Calif.
CNN obtained video taken from inside the tunnel, which features lights and a rail track.

The tunnel was found two blocks from the border, and its entrance was in a warehouse responsible for conducting importing/exporting duties. It was just over 4 feet high, according to the video report.
"El Chapo" escaped from a Mexican prison
last month in an elaborate, mile-long tunnel that had electricity and a motorcycle on rails.
The drug kingpin is known for building advanced tunnels underneath the U.S.-Mexico border that he uses to transport drugs.
The latest tunnel found near Tijuana bears some of the hallmarks of "El Chapo's" work,
reports Business Insider. "El Chapo" runs the powerful Sinaloa cartel, and
he threatened Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump after his escape last month.
Trump responded by
beefing up his security as he travels the country campaigning for president.
Authorities have found 181 drug tunnels passing between Tijuana and the U.S. in the last 10 years,
reports El Pais.
