FBI Director James Comey and NSA Director Mike Rogers have been invited to testify before Congress during a public hearing on Russia's meddling in the 2016 presidential election, CNN reported Tuesday.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., said the hearing is scheduled for March 20. He has also invited former CIA Director John Brennan, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and former Attorney General Sally Yates to testify.

Nunes on Tuesday also said he has seen no evidence former President Barack Obama had President Donald Trump's phones at Trump Tower wiretapped during the election, claims Trump made Saturday through a series of tweets.

"I have not seen that evidence," Nunes said at a news conference. "I think the bigger question that needs to be answered is whether or not Mr. Trump or any of his associates were in fact targeted by any of the intelligence agencies or law enforcement authorities."

Sen. Richard Burr, the Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman, did not rule out investigating the wiretap accusation.

"We're going to go anywhere there is intelligence or facts that send us," Burr told CNN. "So I'm not going to limit it one way or the other. But we don't have anything today that would send us in that direction, but that's not to say that we might not find something.”
