The Rev. Franklin Graham said that he was not endorsing any presidential candidates — "but I am appealing to all Americans to pray" because "this nation is in serious trouble."
"Both the Democratic and the Republican parties have lost the moral vision for this nation," Graham said on
Facebook. "I pray that God will give us a president who is a strong and courageous leader and who has a vision for the future."
Graham, 63, is the son of the famed evangelist Billy Graham. He heads the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and the Samaritan's Purse global charity.
"We need a president who can lead this nation back to being one nation under God so that we can truly say 'In God we trust!'" he said. "May God bless America again."
Donald Trump last month became the presumed Republican nominee — and Hillary Clinton was projected to become likewise for the Democratic Party after Tuesday's final races of the 2016 primary season.
