Trump: Hillary 'Shouldn't Be Allowed to Run'

By    |   Saturday, 10 October 2015 06:19 PM EDT

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump said Saturday that Hillary Clinton "shouldn’t be allowed to run" for the Democratic nomination because of the email scandal and that a GOP member would have been easily jailed for any such debacle.

"No, she shouldn't be" allowed to seek the nomination, Trump told thousands of cheering supporters at the North Atlanta Trade Center in Norcross, Ga., outside Atlanta. "No, she shouldn't.

"I don't think that the Democrats are going to stop her from running because the system is inherently unfair," the developer added. "I can tell you this: If that were a Republican that did what she did with the e-mails, they would have been in jail 12 months ago."

The crowd roared.

Trump made his first visit into the Peach State Saturday, as he turned his focus to the South in his quest for the nomination.

"I love this," he said. "I love the people. I love the country.

"We're never ever getting out of this deal. Okay. Ever. Ever. We're winning.

"We're going to take it to Cleveland, where we have the convention," he added, referring to next July's Republican National Convention at the Quicken Loans Arena. "And after that, we're going to beat Hillary or whoever it is so badly, so badly."

Before his speech, Trump was greeted by 2012 presidential candidate Herman Cain, and he had met with a group of African-American pastors.

He praised Cain during his speech for his "9-9-9" campaign strategy.

"When he said '9-9-9,' I said, 'What the hell is that?'" Trump said. "He had a good thing.
"Great job, Herman," he said amid cheers from the audience. "Great guy. A great guy."

But Trump was not so complimentary of the press, Clinton and fellow GOP contenders Florida Sen. Marco Rubio and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush.

He described his Sunshine State challengers as "low energy" — specifically saying about Rubio: "This is not exactly a poker player, folks. Not exactly a poker player.

"I think they’re lovely people, but it's not going to happen," he said of the pair.

Trump added to the cheering crowd that Clinton "is sure as hell not going to make our country great. Not going to.

"And it's always the same old stuff," he said, referring to the Whitewater land controversy that dogged President Bill Clinton's administration and his 1992 campaign.

"It's always the same," Trump said. "It's always, like, problems."

Cain, the former Godfather's Pizza executive, who is now a radio commentator in Atlanta, later told CNN that he was not yet endorsing any specific candidate.

"I have six candidates that I'm pulling for," he said. "Politics is too fickle to pick any one person for a radio host.

"He's one of the six that I'm pulling for," Cain said of Trump.
