A presidential run by Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren could be fraught with peril for the Democrats, according to Washington Post columnist Dana Milbank.
"If the Democrats did go with her in 2016, they'd be choosing the fresh face who can really electrify the base and electrify crowds," Milbank said Friday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on
Newsmax TV.

"But they'd also be choosing somebody who's not experienced in running large organizations or in foreign affairs.
"In a way, they may be repeating history as they did with [Barack] Obama who turned out to disappoint many progressives."
But Milbank says Warren has not gone the extra mile to indicate any real interest in seeking the White House.
"She's doing nothing in terms of reaching out to donors and potential advisers; the groundwork you would need to do if you're thinking of running for president," Milbank said.
"She really wants to lead a movement whether we call it the tea party or the left or this emerging populist movement. She wants to lead that as opposed to getting elected to a different office."
In recent weeks, some Democrats have indicated a willingness to back Warren over former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
The liberal advocacy groups Democracy for America and MoveOn.org are collaborating in an effort to draft Warren to run for president in 2016.
