Howie Carr: IRS Scandal 'Puts Richard Nixon to Shame'

By    |   Monday, 24 November 2014 10:22 AM EST

Former IRS official Lois Lerner's recently uncovered emails — 30,000 of them — will likely result in "several smoking guns," Boston radio talk show host Howie Carr said Monday on Newsmax TV's "America's Forum."

"Why don't they bring her back before the House post-audit committee immunize her in this case, meaning you can't be prosecuted for anything you say as long as you tell the truth," Carr suggested. "You weren't the person who was ultimately calling the shots. Who told you to undertake this dirty tricks operation? That's what it was. This whole thing puts Richard Nixon to shame. He wanted to do this. This was in his dreams. He never accomplished anything like this with the IRS."
