Rep. Walter B. Jones of North Carolina says he’s not surprised by the warnings issued by the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security advising current and former members of the military to purge social media accounts of any information that might attract members of ISIS and their supporters.
On the subject of President Barack Obama’s executive order on amnesty, Jones said Tuesday on
Newsmax TV's "America's Forum" that he reluctantly believes impeachment remains an option, an admittedly unpopular view within the House Republican conference.

“In the world we live in today, everybody puts everything on the Internet, to the most personal things in the world, so how would we not expect an enemy who's got the same access to go on that Internet site and pick out any information and names that they want to?” Jones said.
The warning was reportedly issued because officials are concerned about lone wolf attacks like the ones that killed two uniformed Canadian solders last month by men who said they supported ISIS,
ABC News reported.
Fox News reported that, according to the bulletin, the FBI has information that “individuals overseas are spotting and assessing like-minded individuals who are willing and capable of conducting attacks against current and former U.S.-based members of the United States military."
Turning to Obama's executive actions, impeachment, “which was authorized by those who developed the Constitution” should be considered, Jones said.
“But no one wants to even talk about impeachment and I don't want that as an option except this reason. Why in the world are we going to spend millions and millions of the taxpayers’ dollars going to the federal courts to challenge President Obama on this decision and have it thrown out of court? Here we go again as a nation, can't pay our bills, we're going to go to court and play a little political theater, make everybody feel good and then the federal courts kick it out. Use what the Constitution says, but no we won't do that.”

No more than 20 House members think impeachment is a possibility, according to Jones, though a more realistic figure is somewhere between 12 and 14, he added.
“When is it more important for policy of a nation instead of politics of a nation?” Jones asked. “That's what we always do up here, is politics, it's politics, it's politics, it's never policy, policy, policy. That's what's wrong with our country.”
Jones said he would be in favor of a resolution to fund the government until Feb. 1, but not longer.
“That would be acceptable to most all of us and we would accept that, but not going to September of 2015,” he said. “That's when you know better than anybody, that's when you have more havoc being played with the
taxpayers’ money and the taxpayers’ future.”
Funding through September 2015 would constitute “another cave in by the Congress,” he said.
