Sen. Joni Ernst's slap at Hillary Clinton that "it's not enough to be a woman" to run for president is something the former secretary of state should take seriously, former Rep. Tom Tancredo, a Colorado Republican, tells
Newsmax TV.
Over the weekend, Ernst, an Iowa Republican, retooled Clinton's own blast as she campaigned for Ernst's Democratic opponent Bruce Braley last year, uttering, "I would also add, it's not enough to be a woman. You have to be committed to expand rights and opportunities for all women."

Tancredo, author of
"In Mortal Danger: The Battle for America's Border and Security," published by Cumberland House, said Monday on
"The Steve Malzberg Show":
"Joni Ernst is so right to throw those words back at her. Hillary would be smart, to every day get up and look in the mirror and repeat those words to herself … because it is going to take more than that this time around, Hillary, and I'm not sure she has much more than that.
"What indeed can she run on, what accomplishment can she possibly point to, what extraordinary talent or ability does she think she has that actually qualifies her for this office besides the fact that she is a woman?
"And remember another one of her screeching things at the beginning of the campaign? 'It's about time to put a woman'.... So yeah, yeah she needs to look in the mirror and say that over and over, you know. 'Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who's the most hypocritical candidate of all?'''
