McCain to Newsmax: Obama Ready to Do 'Right Thing' by Cutting Aid to Egypt

Sen. John McCain said that while the Obama administration is expected to cut off aid to strife-torn Egypt, it comes too late.

"The law said if there's a coup, the aid is cut off," the Arizona senator told Newsmax. "And so, we should've abided by the law to start with and then reinstated it depending on the progress that's made in Egypt.

"We didn't do that. We sent mixed messages . . . It's part of this whole withdrawal from the world that has been the trademark of the Obama administration."
