Michael Barone: Obama Kisses Enemy by Shaking Castro's Hand

Tuesday, 10 December 2013 07:07 PM EST

Michael Barone, a senior political analyst at The Washington Examiner, says President Barack Obama's handshake with Cuban President Raul Castro shows he seems "more intent on sticking a finger in the eye of our friends and kissing up to our enemies."

"[Cuba] is a dictatorship that imprisons poets and homosexuals for being poets and homosexuals," Barone told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

" That's not something that I'm in favor of," he said Tuesday, "even though there's some poets in the U.S. that seem to give some of us on the right half of the political spectrum a little bit of heartburn."
